How we work
Practitioners first: in your operation, with your data and your people.
What we hold ourselves to
Rigour
We test our thinking, even when the answer seems obvious.
Candour
We communicate honestly, even when the recipient isn't listening.
Persistence
We keep going, even when the work is tough.
Follow-through
We only take work that will be implemented.
Four phases
Each phase ends in a decision you make
01Diagnose
We take your data, visit the sites and talk to the people doing the work. We size where the money goes and what could be recovered.
You decide: whether it is worth going on, and the scope.
02Design
We cost the options, recommend one and agree who owns each change on your side.
You decide: the plan and the owners.
03Deliver
We make the changes alongside your team and report the results every week against the baseline.
You decide: how far to roll it out.
04Embed
We hand over to named owners, with training and the tracking they need to keep the gain.
You decide: when we are done.
Conditions for success
We only start work that will be implemented
A named owner
One person on your side owns the outcome and meets us every week.
Data in week one
The extracts we agree are with us in the first week, with someone to answer questions.
A decision forum
A group that meets at the end of each phase and can approve the next.
If these aren't in place, we pause the work rather than bill for it.
Commercials
Fixed fees, phase by phase
- A fixed fee for each phase, agreed before it starts
- Stop at the end of any phase, with no penalty
- No gain-share: our fees never depend on savings your team delivers
- Any commercial relationship with a supplier we introduce, disclosed up front
Questions we are asked
Why no gain-share?
Gain-share pays us for results your team delivers, and too often ends in an argument about the baseline. A fixed fee keeps us both focused on the work.
Who will actually do the work?
The directors you meet. Where we bring in specialist partners, you meet them before they start.
How fast can you start?
[Typically within two weeks of agreeing scope.]
What data do you need?
[It depends on the problem. We agree a short list in the first call and sign a data-sharing agreement before anything moves.]
Start with a diagnostic.
A fixed fee, a few weeks, and a clear answer on whether there is money worth chasing.
